[Still Polling] 110 - Album title 'Flashy'... 50% of the voters said they felt the title was 'great' with the rest of the votes scattered around the other options. 109 - Which track are you most looking forward to hearing? 'Flashy Man' and 'Gay Bar Part Two' drew as the most popular with 21% of the vote apiece, with a handful of other songs getting one or two votes. 108 - When will album five be released... With 53% of the vote October 2008 is the most popular with 40% believing November will be more accurate. When asked about the status of touring, 65% of voters wanted an equal mix of tracks from the four albums played. What do you think of this? 38% of those who voted said they weren't bothered with a close 31% saying it was not a good idea. The rest of the votes split between saying it's a good idea and that it would be fantastic wherever it was recorded. 41 - What do you think of the name 'Smorgasbord'? 58% of those polled felt the name was cool, a quarter saying it was alright and the remainder saying they didn't like it. So a mixed reception then! 40 - How do you feel about the departure of John R. Dequindre? 69% of those who voted felt it was a sad event with the remainder saying it was inevitable one member would leave. The majority of the votes went to hearing the whole album as one piece (58%) with just wanting to hear any tracks being the second favourite (33%). 37 - Which of the current tour cities would you most like the band to return to in the UK in June? York proved to be the most popular of return destinations with any appearance at Scotland being equal with it, with Liverpool coming behind them. With 73% of voters saying they'd be absolutely thrilled for this song to be on the album it shows the band have made a good decision to have this on their upcoming fourth album. Let's just hope we can hear the studio version at some point in the near future... 35 - What do you think the fourth album should be called? With a choice of 'Star Wars', 'Something For Everybody' or something else, the latter got the most votes with 64% of the votes. 'Star Wars' proved very unpopular with no votes, most likely because of the possibly copyright issues. So what will the fourth album be called? Only time will tell... and no, that's a statement, not the actual title! 34 - The 'Rubber Rocket' video - good, bad or indifferent - 1 meaning you absolutely detest it, 10 meaning it's the best thing you've seen in absolutely yonks! Coming in at sixth position is 'Rubber Rocket' with 6.875, beaten by the narrowest of margins by the 'Chocolate Pope' video! 33 - Would you like an album of remixes of Electric Six songs? This was one of the most hotly debated topics and received a mixed receptionm, split equally between positive and negative responses. The most popular choice was 'Yes... I think that would work well...' but the split of results shows that this idea could go either way if it was ever done! 32 - Which video for which 'Switzerland' song are you most eagerly waiting for? Though a closely run thing, the video for 'Germans In Mexico' was voted the video most eagerly awaited. 'Infected Girls' also proved popular with a second place ranking with 'The Band In Hell' and 'Night Vision' securing joint third place. 'Rubber Rocket' and 'Slices For You' failed to garner any votes. 31 - If there was one thing you could change about 'Switzerland' what would it be? Though the general consensus seemed to be that the album was fine as it is, the addition of 'Lenny Kravitz' as a track (closely followed by 'I Don't Speak French') was voted the most popular change if one was to happen. 30 - Which is your favourite of all the Electric Six related albums and why? 'Rock Empire' and 'Fire' both, weirdly following last week's poll, came equal top 33% of the vote each, with the rest being shared equally between the other albums. With six votes, second album 'Senor Smoke' proved to be the most popular with 'Fire' coming a close second with four votes. A VERY mixed score for this song, with scores from 3 to 10. With an overall score of 7.25, The Band In Hell now appears as the 6th favourite song off 'Switzerland' so far. 20 - The 'Pulling The Plug On The Party' video - good, bad or indifferent - 1 meaning you absolutely detest it, 10 meaning it's the best thing you've seen in absolutely yonks! Well, with a score of only 2.86, the video for 'Pulling The Plug On The Party' is your least favourite of the 'Switzerland' songs and videos... by a long shot! 19 - The 'Mr. Woman' video - good, bad or indifferent - 1 meaning you absolutely detest it, 10 meaning it's the best thing you've seen in absolutely yonks! The video got a mixed response, but came in with an overall 7.25 out of 10. 18 - Following on from the 'American Troubador' tour, would you like to see a small acoustic section in the next E6 tour? There was a mixed response for this. The most popular vote with 55% was to have a small acoustic section in the live gigs. 27% didn't want any acoustic section and the remainder just weren't bothered either way. So looks as if an acoustic section should prove popular, but comments suggested only if it's a small section and fits in with the rest. 17 - Would you prefer the band's next single to be just a digital download release (like 'I The Drugs') or a full physical release (like 'Gay Bar' on CD / DVD / 7'' etc)? release? The video scores a promising 7.6 / 10 showing that it's proven popular with Electric Six fans! 10 - 'Mr Woman' - good, bad or indifferent - 1 meaning you absolutely detest it, 10 meaning it's the best thing you've heard in absolutely yonks! 6.8 / 10 is the overall verdict on this track, putting it in third place. 09 - The 'Switzerland' artwork - good, bad or indifferent - 1 meaning you absolutely detest it, 10 meaning it's the best thing you've heard in absolutely yonks! 7.9 / 10 is the overall verdict on the artwork - I would say a good result and a thumbs up to the new minimilistic style. 08 - "Pulling The Plug On The Party" - good, bad or indifferent - 1 meaning you absolutely detest it, 10 meaning it's the best thing you've heard in absolutely yonks! With a mixture of votes from everything from '1' to '10', 'Pulling The Plug On The Party' averages at 7.1, less than 'I Buy The Drugs' suggesting that more deserves the single release (even though I personally prefer this track!) Not sure if the voter of '1' really hates the track or was just a prank - without the song would score '8'... which still wouldn't have beaten 'I Buy the Drugs'! 07 - "I Buy The Drugs" - good, bad or indifferent - 1 meaning you absolutely detest it, 10 meaning it's the best thing you've heard in absolutely yonks! With an average mark of 8.6, it shows that "I Buy The Drugs" is a good choice for the next single! 06 - Prior to the release of 'Switzerland', which is your favourite album release so far? Unsurpisingly, debut 'Electric Six' album 'Fire' proved the most popular with 46% of the vote, though failing to secure a majority win. 'Senor Smoke' and 'Rock Empire' were tied with 23% of the vote each, showing that older and newer material are equally as popular, though weirdly half as popular as 'Fire'. 'Don't Be Afraid of the Robot', the live album, only secured one vote and 8% of the poll. 05 - Would you like to see 'Telephone Conversation' and / or 'Stand Back' (Stevie Nicks cover) released in the near future on an album or as b-sides to any possible singles? Sixty-four percent of those who voted said they would like both 'Telephone Conversation' and Stevie Nicks' cover 'Stand Back' to be released in the future. 18% voted for just 'Telephone Conversation', the same percentage that voted for just 'Stand Back' being released. No one said they didn't want either song releasing. 04 - After 'Switzerland' what should 'Electric Six' release? Half of those who voted would like a 'fourth' album of new material. The second most popular possibility with 42% was for an album of pre-Fire songs recorded. There was only one vote for a live album, which was my vote, which I thought would easily be the most popular, but obviously I was wrong! 03 - Pseudonyms for all the band members: good idea or bad idea? 81% of those who voted said that the band's decision to have pseudonyms is a good idea (the band's admission that this was a 'stupid idea' on the official site seems to clash with this!) Only one person did not like the use of pseudonyms and 13% weren't bothered either way. 02 - If Electric Six were to re-record one of their pre-Fire tracks (cover versions aside), which would you want it to be? It was a close run thing though the top two were the songs I expected. 'Immolate Me' came top with 33% of the vote and 'The Ballade of MC Sucka DJ' came second with 27% of the vote.
