Live Album?

I felt it was time to devote a page on the website to the mysterious possibility of a live album. I was prompted by a posting on the message board by Nick Jeffs refering to a posting on the MySpace site as follows:

"You guys kicked some major ass last night. And you were recording the whole thing!"

This quote, by 'Governmental Pawn', was queried by Nick in an e-mail. It seems that Dick said, at the Summerfest on July 4th, that it was being recorded ("we're recording it for a live album").

What is more interesting about this is that back in February I received an e-mail from Margaret, an E6 fan in Canada, who said exactly the same thing, that Dick had said they were recording for a live album. I contacted an associate of the band after this who said there were no plans for a live album.

Verdict? Is this just some banter the band have with the audience or are they really collecting material together for a live album? I shall personally keep an eye out and try and follow this story up, but in the meantime if you hear any gossip or hear them talking about recording at any gig, click the 'contact me' link on the left menu. All contributors will be credited on this site.

I asked Dick Valentine about this and, although some gigs have been recorded, it's just banter and there are currently no plans for a live album release. [Sigh]

Thanks to Margaret, Nick and 'Governmental Pawn' for this.
